Pure Highland beef and naturally grown produce.
Welfare and ethics

Our cattle live happy, outdoor, natural lives. Calves stay with their mothers until naturally weaned and our breeding mothers form strong friendships with one another. Commercial beef cattle are usually raised in a much more controlled, unnatural way. Calves are taken from the mothers quickly to ensure their mothers swiftly become pregnant again. The calves that are not being kept for breeding stock are fed on high protein, concentrated food that will build the largest carcass weight in the shortest time. To do this these youngsters are kept indoors in large sheds so that they do not waste calories walking around in a field grazing low energy grass. Many never feel the sun on their backs.

The health and happiness of our fold of Highland cattle is of the upmost importance to us.We believe that our beef is as ethical as we can make it. Our happy, slowly matured cattle produce rich, flavoursome beef that is low in fat and high in iron and other essential minerals.

Every sale of our beef helps to ensure the financial viability of keeping native breed cattle in Far North. Because of our geography costs are high and output is low.
